Inspired by the common interests of my grandmother, my mother, and me, I cut out the outlines of the three of us using plywood and painted the plants which represent them to make a strong connection between the three of us. The installation Growing shows that as a new women generation growing up in Beijing, I explored my relationship with the women of the previous ages to show the differences and similarities between three women in a family.
